Al-Mutahar Motor & Engineering Company was founded in 1907, it Originally existed in Eritera (Asmara) with subsidiaries then established in Ethiopia, and Aden.
1962 brought the expansion of AMECO to North Yemen with head office located in Sanaط£آ¢ as well as subsidies in Hodiedah and Aden.
Since that time Al-Mutahar Motor & Engineering Company has consistently grown to accommodate numerous business concerns in accordance with both local and international market expansions.

A.Dhahban Diesel power Station in Sanaط£آ¢. Construction completed in AlMutahar construction division (YCON) carried out the civil work.
B.Hodiedah Diesel Power. Contracts complete in 1981. Civil work done by AlMutahar construction division ( YCON ) .
Extension to Hadramout Power Station . N. 187/223/4362( still under establishment ) .
NIPPON KANAZI - A Japanese company which made a successful agreement with AlMutahar company for a Japanese local governmental tender as a grant aid for Republic of Yemen to supply 25 Diesel engine power units IVECO aifo by total amount of US.410.
VESTO ( YIT )
A Finish contractor which won a project for the construction of silos located in Hodiedah in 1987 .

This division will be established within the coming two months with very wide and strong plans to introduce it to the local markets.
The plans which Al-Mutahar Computers software and hardware will be built on are:
Introduce the company as well as the imported products of high quality and performance to the both public and private markets via participating in the government announced tenders and via Al-Mutahar computers showroom located in a good position.
2. Marketing and selling of computers up todate software, hardware, accessories, computers appliances, programs, networks programming and installation, computers maintenances and services.
3. Cover Sana'a city as a first step in the project and will expand to the rest cities such as Aden, Taiz, Hodiedah cities.
4. Work through well-trained company representatives to market the products to the Yemeni clients in their homes and finding more plans and ways to sell the products.
Mean while Al-Mutahar Computers Co. is preparing a big showroom in the Ring Road with a good decorations and the staff are currently being trained with the Engineers who will be responsible for the maintenance, the whole activities expected to be finished within one month.

Based in Sanaط£آ¢أ¢â€آ¬أ¢â€آ¢a, Yemen Oilfield Service Company is entirely Yemeni owned. Shareholders consist of Yemeni companies and businessman including AlMutahar Motor & Engineering Company ( 80% ) Radman Group (10%) and other local interests (10%) .
YOSCO was registered in 1986 and has since enjoyed a major role in the Republic of Yemen's oil and gas resource development program
Key activities including rig transportation , site reparation , mechanical testing , stabilizer sleeve refurbishing , painting / coating, welding freight forwarding and customs clearance work .
Yemen Oil field Service Company, in a joint venture with Trans Arab Transport, has also hauled and strung a pipeline for Yemen Hunt Oil Company, which extends 460KM from Safir to Salif along the Red Sea.
Overall, YOSCO continuos to provide a wide spectrum of general and specialized services to booth onshore and offshore oil and gas operations as well as to the industry in general .
